A Sunrise, Florida police sergeant is seen on a video camera holding a female’s throat during her arrest on November 19, 2021. The officer, 47-year-old Christopher Polis, has been charged with four crimes in that incident, including battery and assault on a law enforcement officer. Polis was arrested and pleaded not guilty to all four counts last Thursday with his next hearing scheduled for September 8 in a Broward County courtroom.
