PETA calls for women to go on a sex strike against men who eat meat

The animal welfare organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has come up with a new idea to convince men to go vegan.

The group believes that if women go on a sexual strike against carnivores, this may be the watershed moment men need to give up being carnivores.

According to The Telegraph, Peta said the sexual strike could help “save the world” and end “toxic masculinity”.

Daniel Cox of PETA Germany said men need to wake up and smell the scent of tofu.

“We all know them, suburban dads with beer bottles and barbecue tongs bumping 70 cents of sausage on their 700-euro grill,” he said (via The Telegraph).

“The zucchini added by the visitor is viewed with suspicion and can only be tolerated grudgingly.

“The fact that German ‘masters of barbecue’ believe they have to prove their manhood to themselves and their friends through their consumption of meat is not only harmful to animals.

“There is now scientific evidence that toxic masculinity also harms the climate. Therefore, it would be appropriate to impose a hefty 41 percent meat tax on men.

“Prohibition of sex or procreation for all men who eat meat would also be purposeful in this context.”

The 41 percent figure comes from the research journal PLOS ONE, which revealed that men emit 41 percent more greenhouse gases than women due to their predisposition to eating meat.

PETA’s call to ban sex for men has sparked outrage, with some calling the idea “sexist”.

Conservative MP Alicia Kearns told LBC Radio: “It just fuels all the worst narratives in the ’90s that women use sex, it’s not something they enjoy, and they should use it as a tool against men.

“It’s also incredibly focused on straight relationships.”

She added that this was another example of PETA’s “shock tactics.”

In Germany, a sausage seller told Bild newspaper: “I am speechless, completely shocked by this statement. I sell sausages professionally and more women come to me than men.

“I would have been in big trouble if my husband wasn’t allowed to have sex anymore.”

It doesn’t look like audiences will embrace PETA’s desires anytime soon, so they may have to return to the drawing board to find a new way to convince people to give up meat.
